Patrick McHenry, MA, CSCS,*D, RSCC, is the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Castle View High School, and a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Board Member. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with Distinction (CSCS*D) and a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) with the NSCA. He is also a Certified Club Coach with USA Weightlifting. 

In 2003, Coach McHenry was awarded the Regional Strength Coach of the Year for American Football Monthly, and in 2005, he was selected as the NSCA High School Strength Coach of the Year. He received the Editorial Excellence Award from the Strength and Conditioning Journal in 2006. I was very proud to present him and his school one of the first ever Strength of America Awards from the President’s Council on Fitness in 2010. Coach McHenry has a Master’s Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Kinesiology from the University of Northern Colorado.

At Castle View, Coach McHenry works with over 23 varsity sports and designs the lifting and speed/agility programs for all strength training classes. He has also presented at state, national, and international conferences, and has been published in books, journals, manuals, and videos.
